Wages are set to scupper Tottenham hopes for Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
Adebayor, currently on-loan at Real Madrid, has expressed hope of moving to Tottenham this summer.
But the Mirror says City will want nearly all their money back on transfer fees and won't help pay loan-spell wages or give him a kiss-off.
That is likely to shatter Adebayor's hopes of a move to Tottenham as his £180,000-a-week wages are nearly THREE TIMES above Spurs' pay ceiling.
