Wage demands stall Dossena's move to Napoli

The move of Liverpool's Andrea Dossena to Napoli has been stalled due to the defenders wage demands.

Dossena currently earns £2million a year at Anfield which has become a problem for the Italain club despite the fact they agreed a £4million transfer fee.

Napoli sporting director Pierpaolo Marino said the move was currently on hold.

"Dossena? We have taken a break in order to reflect on this. The move is therefore on hold," he said.

"There are no immediate prospects. The president (Aurelio De Laurentiis ) has spoken to (Rafa) Benitez, but there is some distance with the player."
