Tottenham legend Chris Waddle has offered manager Andre Villas-Boas a solution to his strikers dilemma.
Waddle admitted that Villas-Boas has a difficult decision to make in keeping Roberto Soldado in the side at the expense of Jermain Defoe, and offered a resolution which could solve the Portuguese coach's current dilemma.
"It's tricky, because if you give Defoe a start in the Premier League and drop Soldado to the bench, it will hurt his confidence," he said.
"I think all Soldado needs is a run of goals to get him off the mark, boost his confidence. He cost a lot of money so that could be burdening him slightly, but I think he needs time to adjust to a faster game.
"I'm actually quite surprised that Andre hasn't started both of them up front together in a 4-4-2 setup, especially at White Hart Lane. When you are the home side, you need goals so I think he should try them out together."
