Tottenham hero Chris Waddle says his old club are in danger of becoming a feeder team if they agree to sell Dimitar Berbatov to Manchester United.
Waddle stormed: "It's a shame. We knew about his ability when he arrived but Tottenham still took a gamble on him because he was temperamental.
"Since then he's done well but you wonder why players sign four or five-year contracts.
"It seems their intention is to move on after one or two years. It's getting silly.
"It could happen again at Spurs in a year. They could finish 10th next season but Luka Modric could be outstanding - then what happens? You become a feeder club."
