Wabara to return to Man City following Ipswich loan

Manchester City youngster Reece Wabara will return to his parent club after his loan with Ipswich Town expired.

Tractor Boys boss Paul Jewell has confirmed that this weekend's meeting with Reading will be the 20-year old defenders final appearance for the club.

Wabara has been unable to push his way regularly into the first team at Portman Road with just six appearances (one start) but Jewell feels he will benefit from the spell.

"Saturday is his last game and then he'll be going back to City," Jewell told the Green'Un.

"He's been a bit unfortunate really. It's difficult when a young lad comes into a struggling team. He came on against Millwall and started against Doncaster and didn't play as well as he'd like to.

"He's actually done quite well during the last couple of weeks of training. He'll have his own views on it, but it's probably been an eye-opener on what first-team football is like."
