Wabara and Man City cancel contract

Reece Wabara has left Manchester City after agreeing to mutually terminate his contract.

The 22-year old defender has departed the Etihad Stadium prematurely as he was set to come out of contract in the summer but has opted to end his time with the Eastlands club.

Wabara, who becomes a free agent, came through City's youth academy before making his senior debut in 2011 which remains his only appearance.

The former England U20 international, who had loan spells with Ipswich Town, Oldham Athletic, Blackpool and Doncaster Rovers, posted on Twitter that it was time to move on from City even if he was leaving trhe club with a heavy heart.
