Sam Vokes is desperate for a chance at Wolves.

The Wales striker has revealed he is "fitter and stronger" than when he left on-loan for Leeds United.

"I'm loving been back," Vokes told the Express & Star. "It was good to go away to Leeds and get some games under my belt. Now I feel fitter and stronger for that. You always want to be playing Premier League football. If you're in and around the squad at Premier League level that's great experience.

"The main thing when I came back was to be in and around the squad - if I hadn't been then I probably would have gone out on loan again.

"In the meantime it's looking good and hopefully I can get some games. Chris wasn't playing much - like I was at the start of the season - so he's gone out. It's good for him to get some games. From my point of view I have to take that chance and hopefully be involved more."
