Vitolo was delighted to make a winning debut for Atletico Madrid in their Copa del Rey triumph over Lleida.

Both Vitolo and Diego Costa featured in the 0-4 first-leg win.

"I always wanted to wear this shirt. For me it's a great team and it's what I always wanted," said Vitolo at the final whistle.

"We are used to having pressure. We are not players that have just started, we have been playing football for years. The pressure is good not to lower the arms and we are always attentive and eager to improve."

On working with coach Diego Simeone, Vitolo added: "He is a coach with character, but in the end that is what he has transmitted to the team. I wanted to work with this coach. To keep growing and improving from what he tells me."

On Diego Costa, who scored on his return, the midfielder also said: "He can lift the fans. This goal will give him confidence and he can give us a lot."
