Vito Mannone is thrilled with his new season chance at Arsenal.

Mannone is delighted with his "fresh start" at Arsenal - and admits he is full of confidence after last season's loan spell at Hull City.

"I felt ready because I had a good pre-season, played my games and it feels like a fresh start with Arsenal," Mannone told Arsenal Player after their draw with Stoke City.

"I thought I had a really good spell at Hull last year and it gave me a lot of confidence. Playing in the Championship, all these games are the same as Stoke; you come for crosses, you need to read balls and you need to help your team out.

"It was a really great experience. As soon as I caught the first ball from a long throw [against Stoke] I knew that I would help my team."
