Vitesse's Havenaar in shop window at World Cup

Mike Havenaar will be placing himself in the transfer shop window at this year's World Cup.

The 26-year old Japanese striker is out of contract at Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem at the end of the season which could mean he will be using Brazil 2014 as a potential pathway to another European club.

Havenaar is every chance of making Alberto Zaccheroni's Blue Samurai squad following his recent scoring form in the Eredivisie for Vitesse.

The former Ventforet Kofu ace has 10 league goals this term, with five of those coming in his past seven outings, including a match-winning brace against Roda JC on March 1 and the winner against NAC Breda seven days later.

Havenaar has been linked with a move away from the GelreDome this European summer, with Feyenoord reportedly showing significant interest.

Fred Rutten, who will replace Ronald Koeman at De Kuip at the end of the campaign, managed Havenaar at Arnhem in 2012 and 2013.
