Vitesse Arnhem president Bert Roetert has dismissed concerns over their links with Chelsea.
Former Vitesse owner Merab Jordania claimed Chelsea were blocking the Eredivisie club from becoming champions because it would mean problems with both clubs qualifying for the Champions League.
But Roetert scoffed: "We can certainly become champions working with Chelsea.
"We only take players from them who we believe can help us to reach the highest level possible."
Asked about reports of planned crisis talks with Chelsea, he added: "I've received no signal. This isn't an issue."
