Vitesse Arnhem coach Leonid Slutsky has confirmed they're in talks to sign Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard.

Having spent last season on-loan at Heerenveen, Odegaard is in talks about a similar deal with Vitesse.

Slutsky said, "I expected your question.

"We will see. As long as he has not signed a contract, it is not official yet. We have to wait a bit and I hope it will soon become official.

"Before he is signed, I cannot say anything about the player in question."
