Vitesse Arnhem midfielder Martin Odegaard still believes he can make it at parent club Real Madrid.
Odegaard is on-loan at Vitesse this season, where he has shone in recent games.
He told VG: "When you go to Madrid, there are expectations. Also, I had expectations of getting more matches than I have, I will not hide. But it took time to get a fixed place, I've always been aware of this.
"I always had a thought that I might have to be loaned in another country. So the main goal is that I hope to play in Madrid gradually and show that it was the right choice.
"If it happens in the summer or in three years, it's in a way not so important. I do not stress with that. I feel like I'm young, I have many years left, and there's still five or six years to be my best."
