Visconte stars in Ayr United win

Rocky Visconte was Man of the Match in Ayr United's 1-0 away win at Dunfermline on the weekend. The 19-year old winger, who is on loan with the Scottish First Division club from Premier League outfit Hearts, performed brilliantly as the Honest Men did enough to overcome Dunfermline at East End Park.

Visconte provided the cross for the only goal of the match which was scored by former Pars striker Tam McManus.

"It was a great run and cross by Rocky Visconte," McManus said.

"I got a shinpad on his pass and didn't really know what happened after that. But when I turned around the ball was in the net.

"I scored on my Ayr debut against Dundee so that's another goal against one of my former clubs.

"I'm getting my fitness back and the goals are coming so long may that continue as today's win is a big three points for us."

Visconte's performance was well-supported by his fellow South Australian and Hearts teammate, defender Ryan McGowan, who is impressing during his loan spell at Somerset Park.

The win gave Ayr some breathing space over bottom-of-the-table Airdrie United who are four points behind them whilst Dunfermline are sitting sixth.
