Visa problems keep North Queensland's Sseppuya out of New Zealand

North Queensland Fury will be forced to take on the Wellington Phoenix tomorrow night without Ugandan striker Eugene Sseppuya.

The 27-year old found out his current visa did not allow him entry into New Zealand, meaning he has to stay in Townsville while his teammates battle it out with the Phoenix at Westpac Stadium.

A Fury statement indicated that the club believed the issue would be sorted out prior to leaving but confirmed Sseppuya would not be able to travel with the squad.

"The North Queensland Fury sought advice in advance of the team travelling to New Zealand and was led to believe he had the correct immigration documentation to enter the country," the statement read.

It presents the Fury with a problem in attack as Dyron Daal has not recovered from injury and Chris Payne is on duty with the Australian U23 team.
