Sevilla coach Vincenzo Montella is delighted to have taken the job this week.
Starting the season at AC Milan, the former striker has bounced back from disappointment at Stadio San Siro to helm Los Nervionenses after Eduardo Berizzo's controversial sacking.
"I'm excited about this new adventure, I didn't expect it," Montella told Sky Sports Italia.
"I am very happy to be at this great club. The crowd is wonderful, I have already witnessed it in the semi-finals of the Europa League with Fiorentina.
"In Spain you play to have fun and to get results. It will be a fascinating challenge.
"I'm curious about this experience. It was in my dreams to take it on and it came sooner than I expected."
