Nicky Shorey will be using his loan move from Aston Villa to Nottingham Forest to put himself in the shop window. The full-back is well down the pecking order at Villa and it appears he does not figure in Martin O'Neill's long-term plans.
The former Reading player is looking forward to playing during his month-long spell at Championship Forest.
"It's a chance to put myself back in the shop window again," said Shorey.
"It's extremely frustrating but the manager makes his decision and you have to get on with it.
"I've learnt a lot at Villa in terms of the other side of football, when you're not playing and feel you should be. I want to enjoy it again at Forest."
