Nicky Shorey has joined Fulham on loan from Aston Villa until the end of the season. Villa boss Martin O'Neill recalled the England international from his loan at Coca-Cola Championship side Nottingham Forest last week, but he has now allowed the 28-year-old to join the Cottagers.
Fulham have the option to make the transfer permanent should Shorey impress boss Roy Hodgson.
Shorey will be hoping his move to Craven Cottage will boost his chances of making England's World Cup squad, with Fabio Capello's options being limited in his position.
