Luke Moore is hoping Daniel Cousin makes his long-awaited transfer to Fulham so he can seal a move to Rangers.

Rangers were set to sign the striker on a pre-contract Bosman deal but Villa have taken the option of extending Moore's contract a further year.

A source told the Evening Times: "Rangers are obviously reluctant to pay £3.5m for a player they almost had for nothing.

"Luke's agent, Steve Kutner, is working on things with the club and they hope to get the price down. He wants to sign for Rangers and has his heart set on the move now."
