Aston Villa's Zat Knight has set his sights on a return to the England fold.
The 27-year-old defender has been in fine form since his move from Fulham to Villa Park at the start of the season.
And two years after his last call into the national squad, Knight hopes it will only be a matter of time before Steve McClaren decides to revive his international career.
"Seeing the lads go away with their countries increases my hunger to get back into the England squad. It's something I want to do," Knight told Villa's official website.
"The England manager was there on Saturday and hopefully I put in a good performance. Maybe he'll send some more scouts here to keep an eye on me.
"But my first job is to do well for Villa. When Villa are doing well, hopefully that means people will be talking about me as well."
