Aston Villa midfielder Craig Gardner says Nathan Delfouneso isn't the only Academy youngster impressing senior players.

"There's little Barry Bannan who's trained with us a few times and he looks a quality player," said Gardner.

"There's obviously my brother Gary, who's 16, and he's a really good player.

"Then there's lads like Nathan Baker, Ciaran Clark and Marc Albrighton so hopefully those lads can start coming through as well.

"Fans know that the academy lads will come in and give 110 per cent but I this gaffer will give players a chance.

"After seeing Nathan do so well, what's stopping people like Barry Bannan coming on and doing the same? Nothing."
