Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph insists he's not a dirty player after ten yellow cards this season.

He was booked in Monday’s 1-0 loss to Manchester City and misses the Reading and QPR games.

Delph, 23, said: “I’m not malicious. I like to be competitive but I’ve never tried to injure a player.

“I can mistime challenges, I’m only human. But I was worse at Leeds!”
