Aston Villa goalkeeper Scott Carson admits a fit Martin Laursen can lead the club into Europe this season.
"Martin Laursen deserved the man-of-the-match award (against Chelsea). Just like at Newcastle, he was solid," said Carson. "He's got great character and heart and the manager has recognised that in saying it.
"Hopefully he'll stay fit."
