Aston Villa goalkeeper Scott Carson admits he's a fan of Reading's American No1 Marcus Hahnemann.

To bring him luck Hahnemann refuses to clean his teeth on matchdays, but Carson says: "I'd heard something about that but I wasn't sure - now I've had it confirmed I'll watch how close I get to him when I chat to him!

"I'm not one for superstitions. I think, for me personally, if I started getting into things like that I'd go round the bend.

"It's not for me, I just keep things plain and simple.

"But I like Hahnemann, he's a nice guy and every time I've played against him we always have a chat and sometimes meet up afterwards.

"Goalkeeping-wise I think he's solid, he doesn't make too many mistakes, his kicking's unbelievable and he's a good all-round keeper."
