Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas says they're stronger with Paulinho in his team.

Villas-Boas said his defence - who have only conceded one Premier League goal this season - are offered greater protection under the new system.

"Last year with two strikers, we left ourselves exposed a little bit," he said.

"We have more consistency throughout and play better football. We are able to control the games."
