Andre Villas-Boas remains a strong contender for the Tottenham job.
The Telegraph says Villas-Boas, 34, fits exactly the mould of youthful, training ground-based coach who can work with a young, attacking squad of players that Spurs are seeking to appoint.
His ideas are likely to appeal to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy while Villas-Boas has learnt from his time in charge of Chelsea.
Levy is expected to return to London this week after dealing with a private matter in the United States.
