Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas insists Gareth Bale can fulfill expectations at White Hart Lane.

Bale is being encouraged to leave Spurs at the end of the season, with Real Madrid keen.

But AVB says: "He's a massive player for the team and when the small opportunities come, he makes the difference.

"He's someone we rate very highly and can go all the way to being one of the best."
