Villas-Boas could still have saved job in Spurs crisis meeting

Andre Villas-Boas talked his way out of a job at Tottenham on Sunday. The Daily Mail says when AVB met with chairman Daniel Levy after their home humiliation by Liverpool, he still had a chance of saving his job.

Levy was livid. He wanted Villas-Boas to change his ways but the Tottenham coach was in a militant mood during that super-charged meeting inside the stadium.

During some tense discussions, Levy demanded the re-integration of Emmanuel Adebayor into the Tottenham team and for Villas-Boas to set aside his personal issues with the striker.

Nevertheless, Villas-Boas was not prepared to change - even if it cost him his job.
