Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor is now an England player after turning out for Stuart Pearce's U21s against Romania this week.
He said: "There is no water, to be fair. The well is dry. When I had a meeting with him a couple of weeks ago, straight away I knew Gabby was desperate to be part of this squad.
"The more times he can play for me and the more times he can put a performance on for me, the better it is for me.
"He gets treated like any other member of the squad, that's the way it is."
Agbonlahor added: "It's all been sorted, I sat down with the gaffer and sorted it all out, that's behind us now and we have to look to the future and the next two years."
