Villa's Agbonlahor: Age shouldn't prevent England call

Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor insists his young age shouldn't prevent him from breaking into the full England squad.

"Am I good enough to play for England yet? I don't want to say I am and I don't want to say I'm not," Agbonlahor, 21, told the Sunday Mercury. "I'll leave that for other people to judge.

"At the moment I just want to concentrate on my club football and whatever happens with England will happen.

"I wanted to prove I wasn't a one-season wonder and hopefully so far I've done that.

"I'll keep playing the best I can for my club and if I get the call-up then great, but that's not in my head at the moment.

"I've seen people like Micah Richards get in who are younger than me so if you're confident enough it's not about age."
