Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi would welcome the prospect of Roma skipper Francesco Totti returning to the Italy squad.

His spot in South Africa would be under threat if Totti were to come out of international retirement.

"It would not be a weight on us, as it's always good for young players to work alongside great champions," assured the Villarreal starlet.

"I am 22 years old and I know that I have a long road ahead of me yet."
