Villarreal defender Gonzalo Rodriguez has stood up for Santi Cazorla after withering criticism from Bernd Schuster. Real Madrid coach Schuster questioned Cazorla's ambition this week when discussing why the midfielder had rejected a move to Real in August.

But in reaction, Rodriguez rapped: "He should keep his views of others to himself. It's clear from his statements that he is angry because he wasn't able to sign Santi Cazorla."
