Villarreal midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme is eager to complete his move to Boca Juniors.

The Yellow Submarines are close to agreeing a fee with Boca for the Argentina international, who said: "I want to play every Sunday.

"I offered to play a year at Boca for free last season. Even at Villarreal I know they have a great opportunity to obtain a reasonable sum of money from my sale - particularly when most of them do not believe in me.

"It is difficult for a club to pay a lot of money like Boca is doing to take a player who has not played for five months."
