Villarreal midfielder Robert Pires can't see Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger selling his former teammate Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona.
Pires, who enjoyed a trophy-laden career with the Gunners, insists Wenger won't let his talismanic skipper leave without a fight.
"Wenger will not be convinced by money. He always wants his best players," Pires told Sport.
"At Arsenal, he is the captain and Wenger has confidence in him, and that is important because he knows he will play. At Barca it is more difficult. You must choose and it is complicated."
But Pires added: "Barcelona have a smart president and if they want a transfer they'll get it."
