Villarreal target Real Madrid midfielder Gago

Villarreal want to keep Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago in Spain next season.

The Argentina international saw a deadline day move to Manchester City fall through last month and he remains unsettled in Madrid.

Gago has been linked with a return to Argentina and Boca Juniors, however, Cadena SER says his minders have also fielded an approach from Villarreal about next season.
