Villarreal striker Marco Ruben has welcomed interest from Wigan Athletic.

The Times says Rubén has said that he was honoured that Wigan Athletic were trying to sign him from Villarreal.

The Argentina striker, who has spent most of the season in the Spanish club's B side, has scored nine goals this season.
