Villarreal striker Guiseppe Rossi is happy to be staying with the club.

Rossi has been linked with a return to Italy, but is only thinking about scoring goals for Villarreal.

"Every year I want to score more. I have for three seasons scored nearly 15 goals and hope that this time I can get over 17," he said.

"I am eager to have a great season and I am sure we will exceed last year's performance. We must give our maximum from the beginning."

Rossi also spoke of Borja Valero's arrival from West Bromwich Albion.

"Borja is a very important signing for us. We hope he provides many things to this team as he did with Mallorca," added Rossi.
