Villarreal completed the signing of Hammarby midfielder Sebastian Eguren yesterday.

The Uruguayan, 29, arrives at Villarreal on-loan for the rest of this season as a direct replacement for Rio Mavuba, who joined Lille in a similar arrangement earlier this month.

Eguren is known in Sweden for his eye for goal, having struck eight times in 22 games this season.
