Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko is being made available by boss Harry Redknapp after a disappointing start to his Spurs career but Villarreal are the first club to show an interest. But a major stumbling block to a permanent move is the price, reports the Sunday Mirror, with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy wanting to re-coup the £13.8m he laid out for Pavlyuchenko to Spartak Moscow a year ago.
For Villarreal this is a valuation they couldn't hope to meet.
