Villarreal have joined the battle for Arsenal striker Joel Campbell.

The Costa Rica international is expected to move out on-loan from Arsenal this month.

Real Sociedad coach David Moyes is keen and AS says Villarreal also want to bring Campbell to Spain.

Any such loan deal would first need to be authorized by Arsène Wenger, who wants Campbell to commit to Arsenal by signing an extension to his current contractual arrangement, which ends in January 2016.

The striker has been restricted to Cup and European action this season.
