Villarreal president Fernando Roig has played down talk of a move for Benfica striker Javier Saviola.

The former Real Madrid and Barcelona attacker is being linked with the Yellow Submarine.

Villarreal chief Roig denied the rumours, saying: "We have no interest in him.

"Villarreal have a squad of 32 players and we cannot sign all the players that the press have been talking about."
