Villarreal open Tottenham talks for Giovani

Villarreal say they're in talks with Tottenham for Giovani dos Santos.

Dos Santos is now ready to bring an end to his time in North London with Villarreal hopeful of completing a deal before the close of the transfer window.

"The negotiations are well on the way and it seems like the player wants to come to Villarreal," said the Spanish outfit's vice president Jose Manuel Llaneza.

"The deal is not finalised, but we expect a solution by the weekend. Villarreal needs more attacking players."
