Villarreal have made a move for Inter Milan striker Gabriel Barbosa.

Alfredopedulla.com reports Villarreal are keen to take Gabigol on-loan for the second-half of the season.

However, the Brazilian has rejected the proposal.

Instead, the striker has asked to remain with Inter - or be allowed to return to Brazil.

Inter are reluctant to release Gabigol back to Brazil as it would hurt the player's bid to gain an EU passport.
