Villarreal are eyeing Real Valladolid goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo.

Asenjo, 19, is rated among the best young keepers in Europe and has attracted serious interest from Manchester United, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

Villarreal president Fernando Roig has a good relationship with Valladolid counterpart Carlos Suarez and is keen to open talks over a fee of around £9 million for Asenjo.
