Villarreal have made contact with Parma for attacking midfielder Luca Cigarini.
The Italy U21 international has become available from Parma following their relegation and Marca says Villarreal are pushing to open talks over an £8 million deal.
Villarreal already boast one ex-Parma star on their books in Giuseppe Rossi.
