Villarreal goalkeeper Sebastian Viera has urged teammates not to obsess over their high position on the Liga table.

"We have only just moved up there and we should not become obsessed with first place, this is not our fight. What we have to do is add the maximum points possible, take them off our closest rivals and this will serve to help us achieve our goal, which is none other than reaching the Champions League positions," said Viera.

"We did not start the season to be champions but to return to the Champions League. Perhaps we can fight for something better, but it is not our war."
