Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi will undergo knee surgery today in the USA.

The Italy striker has been ruled out of Euro 2012 this summer after re-injuring the same right knee ligaments last week in training that he first damaged last October.

El Mundo Deportivo says Rossi has changed surgeons and for today's procedure, will find himself under the knife of famous knee surgeon Dr Richard Steadman. The striker is still set for a six-month recovery period.
