Villarreal chief Jose Manuel Llaneza insists they're not interested in Flamengo wing-back Juan Maldonado.

It was reported in Brazil that Juan would be moving to the Yellow Submarines in January, but Llaneza insists he isn't the left-back they're chasing.

"We are not interested in players from Flamengo. We are dealing for a left-sided defender, but it is not Juan," said Llaneza.
