Villarreal chief Juan Carlos Garrido says their deal for West Bromwich Albion midfielder Borja Valero is proof of their ambitions.

Valero has agreed a move to Villarreal in the last 24 hours.

Garrido said: "The signing of Valero states that we want to fight for everything.

"He is a midfielder with technical expertise who knows how to handle the ball very well and last year was one of the best players in Spain."
