Leicester City star winger Riyad Mahrez has emerged as a target for Spanish side Villarreal.
Mahrez started the Premier League campaign in fine fashion but his form has dipped following the turn of the year and as a consequence, the winger has been used only sparingly by manager Nigel Pearson lately.
With Mahrez no longer an automatic starter, it is believed that the 24-year old could well leave the King Power Stadium at the end of the season.
To fuel such speculation, the Algerian international's agent, Kamel Bengougam, has stated that his client is attracting the interest from Villarreal and added that a move could well be on the cards during the summer.
"It is true that there is great interest from Villarreal," said Mahrez's agent Bengougam.
"Club officials called me to clearly show their desire to sign the player. It's possible. They are interested in him, but it has only been a formal first approach."
